Why Company Branding Matters
Branding That Speaks to YOU
When simply searching, ‘What is a Company Logo’ the response is; A logo is a symbol or design used to identify. It's how your company is recognized and remembered among others. But, a logo is so much more than that! A well designed logo gives a sense of place, time and even emotion. Those elements are enhanced by the basics of font choices, colors, spacing, symbols, illustrations etc.
PLACE
Being able to identify a company’s location is often one of the goals of a brand, but that does not mean you always need ‘Missoula’ in your company name. Other location identifying features can be used in your company name or in the brand mark. This can be bold or subtle while getting a similar response.
TIME
Do you own a Speakeasy trying to remake the 20’s or a modern construction company building high-end custom homes of the future? Either way your logo should evoke a sense of time or timelessness to achieve your intended feeling.
EMOTION
Utilizing emotion helps a viewer get a sense of what your company is all about. A preschool is more likely to have a bright and colorful brand that screams excitement than an Attorney who is probably looking for something more professional and trustworthy.
